Baling wire and ties are used to repair fences or secure packages and bundles of loose items such as cardboard, rebar, and lightweight pipe. Sometimes called bundling wire, wrap this flexible wire around the bundle and manually twist the ends together to secure the wire. Wire ties are often used to secure the ends. Baling wire and ties are used in warehouses, on construction sites or farms, or wherever loose items need bundling.

Wire ties secure the ends of baling wire after it has been wrapped around the item. Single-loop ties have a one preformed loop and one straight end. The straight end allows the wire to be pulled tight around irregular bundles. Double-loop wire ties are used for large, heavy loads of uniform size. A loop on each end snaps onto loops in the baling wire.
