Shock indicators provide clear visual indication if a shipment has been dropped or otherwise exposed to an impact force that exceeds a predetermined level. These indicators are applied to shipping containers to alert recipients when the shipments have been handled roughly during transportation. ShockWatch indicator companion labels are used on shipments that contain ShockWatch brand shock indicators. The labels instruct people how to handle the shipment and receive it if damage is indicated on the ShockWatch indicator. The companion label is placed on the shipping container and then the ShockWatch label is placed over the companion label, as indicated by the illustration on the companion label.
