Air can pass through the wire shelving for ventilation, and water can flow through the shelving if fire sprinklers are activated. Corrosion-resistant mobile wire shelving units are made from stainless steel and resist corrosion and rust when used in areas where they may frequently be exposed to water or cleaning chemicals, such as kitchens and laboratories. They assemble without tools and use two-piece split sleeves to anchor their shelves in place on their shelving posts. The shelves can be removed and the sleeves can be repositioned to raise or lower the shelves on the posts.
