33 products
Heaters and insulators for drums, IBC totes, and pails keep liquids warm inside containers to maintain temperatures, help break up and melt dense and viscous contents for easier mixing and dispensing, and prevent liquids from freezing. Typical uses include applications where temperature-sensitive materials are stored in environments that get cold like warehouses, outdoor storage, and processing facilities.
For Container Material Type
Drum & Pail Band Heaters
These band heaters wrap around drums and pails to warm their contents. Also known as drum heating belts, they have built-in thermostats and adjustable straps that allow them to set up quickly. Band heaters should be positioned below the fluid level to prevent damage to the heater.
Drum Blanket Heaters
These blanket heaters wrap around drums to evenly warm contents. Also known as barrel blanket heaters, these insulated blankets have heating elements that cover the sides and top of the drum to prevent cold spots and heat contents faster than band heaters.
Drum Immersion Heaters
These immersion heaters fit through the top bungholes on drums to make direct contact with liquids and warm them to precise temperatures. Also known as barrel immersion heaters, they heat contents to the desired temperature more quickly than band or blanket heaters. Their heating elements automatically turn on/off when temperatures reach or fall below a set point. Immersion heaters are ideal for heating and improving the flow of highly viscous materials like tar, syrups, and oils, but they should never be used to warm flammable liquids.
