Chains
Chains connect with loads to tow, rig, secure, and move them. Chains vary by task, weight limits, and operating environment. Lifting chains are rated for overhead hoisting and pulling of heavy loads. Load-securing and utility chains attach to loads to secure them for transport, rigging, and storage. Load-securing and utility chains with hooks connect with anchor points on loads to secure them in place. Utility and load-securing chains should never be used to lift people. Protective covers for chains are barriers that protect chains and objects they come into contact with from damage.
