Digital Calipers with Standard & Specialty Designs
Digital calipers measure the outside dimensions of a workpiece or feature. They have adjustable jaws that slide along a beam with an LCD that displays measurements without requiring interpretation. General purpose digital calipers are used when there’s little to no risk of the instrument being splashed, immersed, or otherwise contaminated by liquids or solids. Harsh-environment digital calipers are durable and commonly used in washdown environments where they are exposed to splashes of coolant and cutting fluids. Fractional display digital calipers provide measurements in fractional increments. Left-handed digital calipers are designed specifically for left-handed users. Solar-powered digital calipers use batteries that are charged by natural or artificial lighting. Specialty digital calipers are used for a range of specific applications; a variety of specialty jaw and blade designs are available.
