Combination grinding and sanding machines offer two different forms of abrasive (belt and disc or belt and wheel) in one machine. Each abrasive form has its own table to support workpieces, which are brought to the machine to do the abrading. These combo machines are commonly used in industrial arts shops, woodworking shops, and manufacturing facilities with small production runs. They are usually set up with abrasives to abrade one type of material, whether it's metal, wood, or plastic.
Benchtop Belt & Disc Machines
Benchtop belt and disc machines have a belt for flatwork and shaping inside curves plus a disc for shaping outside curves and squaring or angling edges. These machines are more compact than floor standing machines. They sit on benchtops, stands, or other flat surfaces or may be placed on carts for repositioning or moving around a shop.
