Multipurpose hole cutters are used on single or mixed materials, such as wood, metal, plastic, and nail-embedded wood. Hole cutters have a hollow center and a number of cutting teeth similar to those found on a circular saw blade. They cut holes by removing a section of material while leaving the core whole. This speeds drilling and allows larger holes to be made using a handheld power drill than is possible using a standard drill bit.

Multipurpose Hole Cutters without Arbor
These multipurpose hole cutters don't include an arbor, allowing users to customize their hole saw or use their own arbor. Arbors attach to a hole saw to mount the saw in the drill and attach a pilot bit.
