Each of these solid drill bits has a fluted head that grinds through concrete and masonry without creating a plug of material that needs to be cleared from the drill bit. This allows these bits to create deeper holes and drill continuously for longer than would be possible with a core bit. The bits have a long shank and install into compatible rotary hammer drills to create deep, large holes in brick, block, and concrete.

SDS-Max Deep-Hole Drill Bits
The SDS-Max shank on these drill bits prevents the bits from slipping in high-torque drilling applications when creating large, deep holes in brick, block, and concrete. The bits install into compatible rotary hammer drills with SDS-Max chucks, and they can be changed in the chucks with one hand. SDS-Max chucks have spring-loaded balls that fit into the grooves on the bits' shanks to hold the bits in place in the chucks.
