- Standard National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) tie-rod hydraulic cylinders are double-acting steel cylinders rated to 2500 psi. Double-acting cylinders provide power in both directions, allowing for more precise positioning than single-acting cylinders. The rod is made of hard chrome-plated case-hardened steel to extend service life and provide smooth movement. An adjustable cushion slows piston speed near the end of the stroke to reduce impact stress and reduce vibration. Seals are replaceable and can be used with most hydraulic fluid.
- Switch-ready National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) tie-rod hydraulic cylinders have a magnetic piston that allows a sensor to be used to indicate the position of the stroke. Double-acting cylinders provide precise positioning of the stroke. The steel piston head provides smooth movement. Switch-ready NFPA tie-rod cylinders are used in factory automation and machine tooling, packaging, marking, and printing applications.
