Blowers move air using a centrifugal wheel and housing that directs and focuses it at a perpendicular angle from the intake. Standard forward-curved blowers are best suited for high CFM applications with low static pressure. They are quieter than other blade designs, making them ideal for ventilating occupied spaces. High-efficiency backward-inclined blowers can overcome higher static pressures, using less horsepower than other blower types. They are commonly used in commercial ventilation settings where airways may be longer and/or more restrictive. Heavy-duty radial blade blowers can overcome high static pressures and are well-suited for transporting material and particulates in the airstream. Their design allows their blades to shed any airborne contaminants, keep the blower in balance, and reduce the possibility of contaminant-related damage.
