Electric heaters provide spot, supplemental, or primary heat. Unlike natural gas or liquid propane (LP) heaters, they don't produce any fumes or VOCs, so they can be safely used indoors without the need for venting. Floor heaters as well as wall and ceiling heaters supply extra heat to areas where space is limited. Wall and ceiling heaters can also be used to provide primary heat in large areas like warehouses and garages where central heating is not typically installed. Baseboard heaters can act as a primary or secondary source of heat for small areas and rooms. Plenum heaters provide warmth to concealed or difficult-to-access spaces. Heating cables prevent pipes and roofs from freeze damage. Portable heaters may be moved from space to space wherever heat is needed. Spa and hot tub heaters keep tubs a comfortable temperature.

Thermostats for Electric Wall & Ceiling Heaters
Purchased productsThese thermostats control the temperature of electric wall and ceiling heaters. The temperature range is digitally or electronically programmed or set with a dial and will turn the heater on and off to maintain the desired temperature.Brands
-
Suspended Electric Wall & Ceiling Unit Heaters
Purchased productsSuspended electric wall and ceiling unit heaters suspend from a bracket or threaded rod for use in downflow or horizontal applications and save limited floorspace. They provide primary or supplementary heating in large or exposed areas like factories, warehouses, and stock rooms. They use a forced air system that heats the air using a heating element and a fan.Brands
-
Thermostats for Electric Baseboard Heaters
Purchased productsElectric baseboard heater thermostats control the temperature of standard and oil-filled electric baseboard heaters.Brands
-
Large Recessed Electric Wall Heaters
Purchased productsLarge recessed electric wall heaters are larger than compact and register heaters and are used to heat areas like offices, reception rooms, family rooms, and other residential and small commercial spaces. These fan-forced heaters install in an opening in the wall near the floor so heat flows into the space to be heated. These heaters have a built-in thermostat.Brands
-
Portable Standard Electric Jobsite & Garage Heaters
Purchased productsPortable standard electric jobsite and garage heaters have a tubular heating element for high-efficiency heating and use fan-forced air to distribute heat throughout the space. These heaters are protected with an internal thermal cutout, which shuts off the heater in the event of overheating and can be manually reset when the temperature returns to normal. These heaters have a unit-mounted thermostat.Brands
-
Tubular Elements for Electric Infrared Heaters
Purchased productsThese tubular elements replace worn or damaged elements in indoor and outdoor electric infrared heaters. They quietly warm surfaces through radiant energy.Brands
-
Controls & Cords for Electric Wall & Ceiling Heaters
Purchased productsControls and cords for electric wall and ceiling heaters allow users to adjust heater settings or hardwire the heater so it can be plugged into a socket.Brands
-
Compact Recessed Electric Wall Heaters
Purchased productsCompact recessed electric wall heaters heat areas with limited installation or mounting space, like restrooms, bedrooms, hallways, or offices. These fan-forced heaters install in an opening in the wall near the floor so heat flows into the space to be heated. They have a built-in thermostat.Brands
-
Register-Style Recessed Electric Wall Heaters
Purchased productsRegister-style recessed electric wall heaters have a grille design similar to most central air vents, so they blend into the room. These heaters are compact and used to heat areas with limited space, like bedrooms, dens, basements, small offices, and other residential and light commercial applications. These fan-forced heaters install in an opening in the wall near the floor so heat flows into the space to be heated. They come with a built-in thermostat.Brands
-
Indoor/Outdoor Suspended Infrared Radiant Electric Ceiling Heaters
Purchased productsIndoor and outdoor suspended infrared radiant electric heaters quietly warm people and objects without taking up floor or wall space. They can withstand rain and provide snow and ice control, so they're typically used to spot heat areas like entrances, patios, and bus shelters. They suspend from the ceiling and may also mount on the wall with either an included or optional bracket. These heaters can be used with a variable heat controller.Brands
-
Surface-Mount Electric Wall Heaters
Purchased productsSurface-mount electric wall heaters are positioned near the floor, so the heat rises upward to warm the area. They use convection heating to create currents that warm and circulate the air. Convection heaters don't have moving parts, so they're quieter than fan-forced heaters. They have a built-in thermostat. These heaters provide spot and supplemental heat to spaces like offices, conference rooms, lobbies, and bathrooms.Brands
-
Standard Electric Baseboard Heaters
Purchased productsStandard electric baseboard heaters work by convection and have a heating element encased in a metal sheath surrounded by aluminum fins to transfer heat. They install along baseboards to warm rooms and small spaces in buildings such as multifamily housing or offices. These heaters require a thermostat to control heat settings.Brands
-
Electric Heater Coil Re-String Kits
Purchased productsElectric heater coil re-string kits are used to repair worn or damaged heating elements in electric heaters if the original replacement elements are no longer available. These kits include heating wire, isolators, and hardware to allow users to replace elements in duct heaters, electric furnaces, air curtains, and strip heaters to put them back in service.Brands
-
Thermostats for Electric Floor Heaters
Purchased productsThese thermostats control the temperature of electric floor heaters. They regulate heat and have controls for customizable heat settings.Brands
-
Portable Salamander Electric Jobsite & Garage Heaters
Purchased productsPortable salamander electric jobsite and garage heaters use fan-forced air to provide clean, odor-free tempered heat, which raises the area's temperature by a specified amount. They are used to heat enclosed spaces. These heaters have automatic overheat protection to prevent damage to the unit. They also have an option to be used as a fan when cooler air is desired. They have wheels or handles for easier transportation. These heaters come with a built-in thermostat to provide control of the unit.Brands
-
Drop-In Panel Radiant Electric Ceiling Heaters
Purchased productsDrop-in panel electric ceiling heaters install in 2 ft. x 2 ft. or 2 ft. x 4 ft. drop ceilings. They have built-in T-bar suspension clips for mounting, and they can also be recess- or surface-mounted on hard ceiling surfaces with a required mounting frame. They use radiant heating to transfer heat to people and objects instead of the ambient air. They don't have a fan or moving parts, so they're quieter than other types of heaters. These heaters free up floor and wall space to provide spot heating in small areas. They require a remote wall-mounted thermostat.Brands
-
Kickspace Electric Heaters
Purchased productsKickspace electric heaters are recessed in under-cabinet spaces and provide supplemental heat where space is limited. Also known as toespace or toekick heaters, they wire into an opening at the base of a cabinet. They're used in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, checkout counters, and toll booths. They can be controlled with a required surface-mount thermostat or a wall thermostat.Brands
-
Pre-Assembled Electric Heating Cables
Purchased productsPre-assembled electric heating cables are ready for users to install and don't require cutting. They have either prestripped wires for hardwired connections or a NEMA plug. Self-regulating cables protect pipes, roofs, and gutter systems against damage from freezing or ice buildup. Nonregulating cables commonly install under floors to provide supplemental warmth indoors.Brands
-
Oil-Filled Electric Baseboard Heaters
Purchased productsOil-filled electric baseboard heaters work by convection and have an oil-filled heating element that minimizes temperature swings and provides residual heat even after the unit is shut off.
