These electric heaters mount on walls and ceilings to provide spot, supplementary, or primary heat without taking up floorspace. Recessed and drop-in heaters install inside an opening in the wall or ceiling. Surface-mount heaters are positioned directly on the wall or ceiling. Suspended unit and infrared radiant heaters hang from the wall or ceiling. Hazardous-location heaters are used in environments where potentially explosive or flammable vapors may be present.
