Eye bolts have a shank for anchoring to structures or equipment and a ring (or loop) at the top for attaching rope, hooks, or other hardware. They're used as anchor eye bolts for routing or tying down wire and cable. Machinery or lifting eye bolts are rated for vertical or angular lifting up to their specified capacity.

Routing eye bolts hold wire rope, cable, or other light-duty applications. They are not meant for lifting or rigging. These eye bolts come in a black oxide finish, which is corrosion resistant in dry environments, or may be zinc-plated for corrosion resistance in wet environments. These eye bolts also are available in 304 and 316 stainless steel. 304 stainless steel is chemical resistant, 316 stainless steel is the most chemical resistant.
