Order LookupIEC Contactors
IEC contactors are made to standards designated by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Contactors are electromagnetic switches that open and close electrical circuits to turn multiple high-current connections on and off simultaneously. These electrically operated switches open and close circuits to control high-voltage motors, machinery, equipment, and electrical systems. IEC magnetic contactors are cost-effective alternatives to heavy-duty NEMA contactors. They have modular designs that adhere to global design standards, allowing them to plug and play into existing systems more easily than NEMA contactors.
Contactors combine with compatible overload relays to create motor starter assemblies. Compatible auxiliaries can be added to increase the functionality of contactors.
Non-Reversing IEC Contactors
These non-reversing IEC contactors connect and disconnect power to motors and other high-current equipment and machinery in a single direction. Contactors combine with overload relays to create motor load starters and provide overload protection. They can operate without overload relays but won't have protection from overcurrent. Compatible auxiliaries can be added to increase the functionality of contactors.

Reversing IEC Contactors
These reversing IEC contactors invert current flow to allow motors to operate in forward and reverse directions. They consist of a forward and a reverse contactor with an interlock system connecting them to prevent one contactor from operating while the other is powered. Reversing motor contactors are suitable for applications requiring motors to switch directions like pumps, conveyors, lifting and pulling mechanisms, and machine tools. Contactors combine with overload relays to create motor load starters and provide overload protection. They can operate without overload relays but won't have protection from overcurrent. Compatible auxiliaries can be added to increase the functionality of contactors.

Non-Reversing Miniature IEC Contactors
These non-reversing, miniature IEC contactors have compact constructions smaller than standard IEC contactors and help save space in tight enclosures. These mini contactors connect and disconnect power to motors and other high-current equipment and machinery in a single direction. Contactors combine with overload relays to create motor load starters and provide overload protection. They can operate without overload relays but won't have protection from overcurrent. Compatible auxiliaries can be added to increase the functionality of contactors.
