These Class J fuses offer low watts and low resistance for cooler running temperature and reduced power consumption. A 10-second minimum time-delay at 500% overload minimizes needless fuse openings due to temporary overloads and transient surges. These dual-element fuses require only half the mounting space of most 600V Class RK1 and Class RK5 fuses. Designed with current-limiting fiberglass bodies.

Approximately half the mounting space of 600V Class RK1 or Class RK5 fuses is required for these Class J fuses. Constructed with current-limiting fiberglass, they're designed to be finger-safe, which helps to reduce the possibility of arcing faults or electrocution. The dovetail fuse holder design also allows multiple poles to be ganged together. The dual-element fuse construction offers a minimum 10-second time delay at 500% of rating, which helps to minimize nuisance circuit openings due to temporary overloads and transient surges. The high interruption rating safely interrupts faults up to 300,000A. These fuses also reduce destructive thermal and magnetic forces, and allow opening without venting arc or molten metal and gases.

These Class J drive fuses feature melamine construction with a silver fuse element for high-speed, current-limiting protection. They also help to provide maximum protection for AC and DC drives and controllers, as well as semiconductor devices that utilize diodes, GTOs, SCRs, and SSRs.
