Industrial tape has adhesive on one or both sides of flexible cloth, metallic, rubber, or plastic backing for securing items. Duct and cloth tape have a water-resistant adhesive on a strong, abrasion-resistant cloth backing and are used for sealing ducts, securing cable, and making repairs. Filament and strapping tape are reinforced with fibers that prevent snapping and tearing in packing and bundling applications. Film tape is used to protect surfaces and splice paper and other items. Foam tape provides an insulating barrier between surfaces. Foil tape is reflective, UV resistant, and thermally conductive, with a metal backing and a strong adhesive for conforming to curves and uneven surfaces. Transfer tape is double-sided, with pressure-sensitive adhesive and a removable paper backing that allows users to join two materials.
