Transfer tape is a double-sided, pressure-sensitive adhesive with a removable paper liner that is used to join two materials. Transfer tape is most often applied using a dispenser, but it can also be applied by hand. The tape is applied to one surface and the paper release liner is removed to expose the second adhesive side, allowing the second material to be adhered. It is used for a variety of tasks including matting and framing, joining components in electronics, adhering form insulation.
