Hook & Loop Sanding Discs

Available204 products
Hook-and-loop sanding discs remove rust and paint, clean and level welds, and prepare them for final finishing. They attach to a compatible hook-and-loop backing pad on a power sander to reduce the time it takes to refresh a disc or change grits. Hook-and-loop discs can be removed and reapplied so they're a good choice for applications where the disc is changed out before fully worn.

Cool-Cutting Sanding Discs for All Surfaces

Cool-Cutting Sanding Discs for All Surfaces

Cool-cutting sanding discs optimized for use on all surfaces have an open-coat ceramic abrasive applied to a paper backing. Ceramic self-sharpens faster than other abrasives to remove material quicker. Quicker material removal speeds up the work and keeps the surface cooler, making ceramic a good choice for heat-sensitive metals. Open-coat abrasives have grit on about 50% of the surface leaving space between the abrasive grains to prevent swarf from clogging the surface which keeps the workpiece cooler. The paper backing provides a smooth, flat surface to provide consistent pressure across the work surface. Compatible surfaces and substrates include paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel.

Flexible Cool-Cutting Sanding Discs for All Surfaces

Flexible Cool-Cutting Sanding Discs for All Surfaces
Flexible cool-cutting sanding discs optimized for use on all surfaces have an open-coat ceramic abrasive applied to a cloth backing. The flexible, tear-resistant cloth backing conforms to contours and is more durable and tear resistant than paper. Compatible surfaces and substrates include paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel.

Flexible Cool-Cutting Sanding Discs for Stainless Steel & Nickel Alloys

Flexible Cool-Cutting Sanding Discs for Stainless Steel & Nickel Alloys

Flexible cool-cutting sanding discs for use on stainless steel and nickel alloys have a closed-coat ceramic abrasive applied to a cloth backing. Other workpiece materials include cobalt, Inconel, titanium, and chrome. Ceramic self-sharpens faster than other abrasives to remove material quicker. Quicker material removal speeds up the work and keeps the surface cooler, making ceramic a good choice for heat-sensitive metals. Closed-coat abrasives have abrasive grain across the entire surface to provide a smoother finish and faster material removal than open-coat coverage. The flexible, tear-resistant cloth backing conforms to contours and is more durable and tear resistant than paper.

Cool-Cutting Sanding Discs for Maximum Dust Extraction

Cool-Cutting Sanding Discs for Maximum Dust Extraction
Cool-cutting hook-and-loop sanding for maximum dust extraction have a ceramic abrasive on a mesh backing. Ceramic self-sharpens faster than other abrasives to remove material quicker. Quicker material removal speeds up the work and keeps the surface cooler, making ceramic a good choice for heat-sensitive metals. Tiny holes in the mesh backing maximizes dust extraction for drywall sanding and other fine dust applications when the sander is connected to a compatible dust collection system.

Cool-Cutting Finishing Discs for All Surfaces

Cool-Cutting Finishing Discs for All Surfaces
Cool-cutting finishing discs for use on all surface have an open-coat ceramic abrasive applied to a film backing. The high-strength polyester film backing is very flat for high-precision applications that require a consistent finish. Film can be used wet or dry. Compatible surfaces and substrates include paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel.
