Diamond mineral sanding pads have an open dot pattern that has a sharp cutting to smooth and polish workpieces while minimizing clogging caused by debris and swarf. Sometimes called diamond hand laps, they have a flexible backing that allows the abrasive to conform to irregular and contoured surfaces and to even out pressure applied during hand sanding.
