Die grinder cut-off wheels cut and notch metal, ceramic, and concrete workpieces in tight spaces. Sometimes called small-diameter cut-off wheels, they're made of fiberglass-reinforced bonded abrasive that determines the material compatibility and durability of the wheel. Cut-off wheels cut using the edge of the wheel only, similar to a standard chop saw or table saw blade. These cut-off wheels are installed on die grinders, inline grinders, and cut-off tools that have an appropriate safety guard.

High-Performance Cut-Off Wheels for Carbon & Stainless Steel
High-performance die grinder cut-off wheels optimized for use on carbon and stainless steel are composed of fiberglass-reinforced zirconia alumina to last longer than standard, aluminum oxide cut-off wheels. Zirconia alumina is more durable than aluminum oxide and self-sharpens to maintain a sharp cutting edge.
Type 1 Wheel
Type 1 is flat to maximize cutting surface for increased depth of cut when making 90° cuts. Sometimes called straight or type 41, the wheel mounts close to the guard and can affect visibility.
