Answer: 
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following.

There may be a malfunction in the thermostat. The wiring diagram states that if the “C” terminal is wired, the display should stay lit constantly. If the “C” terminal is not wired the display should only lite when a button is pressed. I recommend calling out HVAC tech support team to discuss the wiring at 800-472-4643.
