Rated 1 out of 5 by 1reviewer.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Extremely poor quality vise. 2 of 3 ordered had broken feet upon arrival. The "pipe vise" is not a hardened steel set of jaws like most vises. Instead it has a very dull set of ridges in the casting that is painted over. It holds a pipe, but don't expect to do any threading or assembling of a pipe.I was not expecting these to compare to $500 vises which we have at the facility. I bought these to be cheap small vises for roll around work benches and it did not meet my already low needs/expectations for that purpose. Not recommended even for light home owner use, let alone anything industrial.Grainger did go good for the broken items and are sending replacements. The issue is design quality. Why put a small anvil on the back of the vise if it can not even handle being shipped without breaking? September 20, 2013
