Rated 1 out of 5 by 1reviewer.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Hot wire will not stay zeroed after power-on; will read a velocity even with the shutter closed, regardless of how often you try to zero it. To be fair, zeroing it DOES seem to change the 'closed' shutter reading- it just never actually -zeros- the reading.Vane does not work. . . . no velocity reading whatsoever right out of the box. Not a factor in my application, as the hot-wire sensor is more useful at the bottom of the velocity capability of the unit, where I need to make readings. (the thermometer function on the vane unit does work fine, however.)I have no trust in this instrument's readings; it never seems to agree with itself. . . which may be a function of trying to use it near the bottom of its usable range.Summary: disappointed in performance of instrument, Would not buy again!
