Rated 1 out of 5 by do not buy it was a waste of money use one time I wanted to finish the job the next day it would not work I took it apart and clean it with wagner lube and cleaner after first use follow all direction still garbage June 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Better than expected On my job I have had to use commercial paint sprayers. The paint had to be thinned out to the exact requirement. I wanted to paint using latex paint at home which is much thicker. I bought the power painter plus as a shot in the dark. I was thinking it might make this project a lot easier. Surely it really can't be that good. Boy was I surprised, It sprayed beautifully. No thinning needed. Of course it was a good quality paint. But the results were smooth even coverage. June 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Practice Before You Use For The First Time I have been painting since I was a teenager! Latex paint needs to be thinned and also make sure you don't jerk the sprayer when paint is low in the cannister to suck up air. You will get globs spraying out. Keep a 2inch soft brush in your back pocket to smooth out the globs as soon as they stick. Refill it when 3/4 down.Hold the at a foot from the surface and perpendicular. Start with a even motion and press the trigger while it is moving.Start with the lowest flow rate that gives even coverage. Make the first pass and then come back for a second pass after the first coat forms a skin.I avoid using the tubing to suck paint off a gallon can. I would rather refill the cannister several times with the right diluted latex paint. After use make sure it is completely disassembled and cleaned good to get rid of all dried paint. Use shop air to dry the nozzles and then lubricate before reassembling. June 3, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Okay, but not great I purchased this painter for a small bathroom remodel. The gun worked great until the piston and housing were worn out after shooting only six gallons of latex (yes it was oiled between cleanings). I would give this painter a better rating BUT parts appear to be non-exsistent for this sprayer. Sorry Wagner, this product is a swing and a miss with regards to quality and support after the sale. Rated 5 out of 5 by You get out of it what you put in. I have read a lot of these reviews and compared them to my personal experience with the product I have to say it does the job very well. You need to understand your not just grabbing this tool off the shelf and loading it up with paint and shooting. Preparation is just as important (actually more important) then actually painting. Hot water and soap makes for an easy clean up. The device comes apart in a very logical manner and goes back together the same way. The coverage is great and yes you will get a quick splatter when you reach the end of the tank. But guess what, take your finger off the trigger, get a brush and wipe it. Not the end of the world. It dries without any difference of the rest of the piece. February 21, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Remote Suction Hose Accessory I like the Power Painter Plus that I bought. I wanted to add the remote suction hose accessory so I ordered one, part number 0272910, which I was told would work with my machine. I tried to attach the hose(s) and none of the adapter retainers will work with the unit. What do you suggest I do to remedy this? What is the correct part number? November 30, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by This product is worthless Began painting a fence everything was going well went thru 1 gallon and started another one when product failed. Not enough paint getting through. Clean sprayer and it got worst. finally nothing came out. Cap to attach accessories broke. now I have another thing to add to the land fill.Cannot find anyone who has a clue about what is wrong and ordering parts is cost prohibitive. Can by a competitors brand for !$10 more than the parts and shipping cost. October 20, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by will not buy another one i purchased this sprayer to paint my interior doors. i read the owners manual to learn to operate the sprayer.i followed the instuctions and even practiced spraying on other wood to find the right technique.the sprayer would spray good and all of sudden blobs of paint would be on my material.i kept paint container full and even thinned the paint hoping it would make a diffrence.i tried for awhile to get it right but no satisfing results. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!!!! October 7, 2013
