Rated 5 out of 5 by Does what it says it does Replaced my old flood bulb changer head after 10 yrs of service finally wore it out. I change bulbs in a 24' high ceiling using this tool and it works right every time. With the number of lamp fixtures I have, it is used at least once a week around here. Sure beats having to get out the 20' ladder every time to change a burned out bulb. March 24, 2012

Answer:
After the bulb is screwed into the socket you would gently pull on the changer or move it to the side to get the suction cups to release. There is no release switch with this style.

Answer:
This item has 6 plastic suction cups adhere tightly to smooth recessed flood lights, round, beveled, and flat bulbs, and bulbs 300 watts or larger. In order to be able to remove the bulb the suction cups would need to be able to suction onto the bulb.
