Rated 3 out of 5 by 1reviewer.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Timer is very flexible and has a 3-prong outlet. It is rated as "heavy duty" on the unit, but my first timer failed in less than a year. It's only job was to switch a lamp off and on once per 24 hour period. Good feature list, but dubious reliability. This failure was within a year of purchase, so thankfully Grainger will exchange the timer without issue! July 28, 2013

I am attempting to turn 110 V power on to a small fountain pump for 3 minutes followed by 3 minutes in off position, continuously, 24 hours a day. This is for a hydroponic gardening product. If successful, will need large quantities. For prototype, can be more than $10. For production, need inexpensive solution.

Answer:
This timer has a 1 minute minimum time setting; however there are only 24 available on/off cycles available. There will not be enough cycles available to turn this timer on for 3 minutes and off for 3 minutes continuously. Please consider Grainger item numbers 2E130 and 14H249.

Answer:
Straight from the specs, this timer would theoretically work for you air conditioner. However, the amperage you list is the same as the max amperage for the timer and will have no capacity for amperage surges, etc. and therefore is not recommended. Please call us at 1-800-Grainger so we can discuss your project in greater detail.
