Water application

Can this product survive prolonged submerged time. Want to have it in an environment where it will be wet most of the time. Wondering if the mounting pad will degrade over time if kept wet.

Answer:
According to the manufacturer, these pads should survive your installation without degradation for a long time. They would like to know if your application is fresh or salt water, but the pads should be fine for either installation as they are constructed of 6.6 nylon. They do recommend using screws to secure the pads as they cannot be certain the strength of the adhesive for that duration and application. The manufacturer does have a chemical resistance table in their catalog. If you call us at 1-800-Grainger we would be happy to provide you with this chart.
