My 8 hp Honda compressor (4NB85) runs terribly. It starts only using starting fluid and still doesn't run to be useful. It is fairly new, but it sat unused and outside in the rain the last year. There is a brass looking valve on the side (pilot valve?) which seems frozen. Could this be a reason?

Answer:
With the unit oriented having the handle to your right, the pilot valve will be in the center of the unit. It is possible this valve may have been damaged during the winter storage. Please feel free to contact us at 1-800-GRAINGER for assistance with troubleshooting this unit.
