Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following:

This compressor does not give off exhaust fumes. That being said, the manufacturer does state in the owner’s manual that the room it is kept in must be a well-ventilated room to allow the unit to receive an adequate supply of clean, cool, dry air.
