Answer: 
Hello Burt,
That will depend on how fast you need it to move, CFM is the Volume of air PSI is the pressure or work the cylinder will do. You can search the internet for cylinder calculator programs where you can input a cylinder size and stroke. It will then tell you how many CFM's & Pressure is required for a given speed.
