Details

Air compressor units are intended to provide compressed air to power pneumatic tools and to operate spray guns. The pumps supplied are oil lubricated. A small amount of oil carryover is present in the compressed air stream. Applications requiring air free of oil or water should have the appropriate filter installed. The air compressor unit must be mounted on a solid floor or solid ground. Any other use of these units will void the warranty and the manufacturer will not be responsible for problems or damages resulting from such misuse.

Rated 3 out of 5 by This air compressor is nicely set up except that on the belt cover, there is no bracing, it vibrates really bad. also, there are no rubber feet on the front floor leg to decrease vibration either. You would think for the high price of this air compressor, it would be better constructed for a more ideal use to the user. March 10, 2015

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following:

This item has been designed to run off US voltages of 115/230 volts, which runs at 60 HZ. To operate properly at 50 HZ you may need a power converter to prevent electrical damage. Additionally, there will be an efficiency loss with operating this unit at 50 HZ, the manufacturer does not have an exact rating on what will be the loss, but estimates it to be roughly 20%.
