Rated 5 out of 5 by Great replacement for a 40 year old 77 Great saw for the money a little easier to use than my old 77. A lighter also. February 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by best on its class I bought this powerfull tool to do repairing jobs and I know it's more than I need . Its good on wood ,concrete and metal. December 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by excellent saw I have always used skill saws in my trade as a union carpenter and they are the best.  I just wish it was not made in China.  We need our jobs. September 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Saw I bought this saw to replace a saw that I had had for over forty years that was stolen.  I was afraid that I could not get one as good. I have had this saw for only a short time but I think it is going to be as rock solid as the first one.  It cuts straight and true and seems to have good power.  It is heavy with the advantages and disadvantages associated with that.  The weight helps the saw cut smooth and track straight against a guide but at my age (74) it wares me out pretty quick.  The saw appears to be what I hoped it would be.  September 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Saw has ample power to make cuts in a variety of wood. The ergonomic handle provides comfort for hours long use April 23, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Handy Little Tool Good handy little tool that does the trick for small jobs it says light duty but this little tool really helped me when I wanted to screw in a screw with out a drill bit on a 2X4 its not recommended for that use but it did the trick! Overall I have not been disappointed with a Skil product yet! December 26, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by I like the narrow width and power vs weight. My first power tool as a home owner was a Skilsaw which a built a redwood deck with. It still works perfectly, even with the now its shorted 12" cord(LOL). Anyway, I now have a thriving home improvement business and wanted to upgrade the weakest link in my toolbox, my Skilsaw 5350. For quite some time I wanted to upgrade to a 77Mag series. I was on the fence between the SHD77M and the flasher MAG77-75, so I bought both. I weight them at home and decided to kept the lighter of the two. I think Skill weights them w/o their power cords since my measurements were much higher than their specs.SHD77M (spec 14 pounds) actually weights 15.34 lbMAG77-75 (spec 14 pounds) actually weights 15.40 lb July 24, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by It is true, this saw was it. Used it in Nantucket on 2x's in the 70's making rafters. In NH later cutting green wood, warping blades, smoking cuts, and making ridiculous cuts from ridiculous positions. Would have it now, had it not been fingered. Replaced it with a Makita.
