Rated 4 out of 5 by This tool does exactly what it is supposed to do. used this tool for about and hour on a tough sanding job and it performed great. April 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Sandeer I bought this for refinishing my kitchen cabinets in place of a random orbital sander. There is NO comparison. Easy to change rolls, empty filter, and the pressure indicator is a nice addition. I would have given it 5 stars, but I loose some dust where the filter mates with the sander. It tends to escape new the keyway. Not a big deal, but it builds up over time December 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Belt sander for my wife (really!) My wife was doing a large woodworking project. All we had was a palm sander. She picked out the Skil for her project. It was easy for her to use and change the belts. It was ergonomic and not too heavy as considerable lifting was required over a couple of days. No problems or issues and would recommend it. Rated 5 out of 5 by Durability I have had my sander now for at least 2 years, Great sander, but like some of the reviews I have read it does get hot, The only problem I have had is the brushes, some how they get stuck on the Armiture and I have to take apart and file down the brushes, also if you use a 220 grit sandpaper to clean up the Armiture it will run good, I also agree that the dust container is not intended for this sander, so if you have a shopvac perfection no dust. Its all about P.M.ing your equipment. November 26, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very poor dust collection This is my second 7510 sander in 2 weeks. You have a nice machine but what good is it if the dust chamber plugs up? There is no access door to clean out the chamber. It worked good for two 2 x 6 x 20 foot boards, then it plugged up. I back blew it out once with 150 pounds of air and it worked poorly for about 5 feet of board, then the plastic dust collector collected no more dust. It was all in the air and on the board. Why don't you fix the dust collection chamber (not the clear plastic container) or give it an access door to clean it out. I'll be returning this unit also. This is not up to Skil's usual standards. Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice Nice beltsander,I like the features and it works great,I have used it on quite a few door edges and a few other things, the dust collector is great it collects about 90% to 95% of the of the dust and debris from sanding, the first time I used it I did not think that the dust collector collected that much and then I emptied the collector and there was a huge pile of saw dust and only about 5% to 10% of the dust wasn't collected,I was impressed, and when sanding on a no need to use any downward pressure, the weight of the sander creates enough pressure,be sure to have a good hold/grasp of the sander, and the trigger lock works great, very nice and great working product October 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Sander I purchased this sander to sand rough edges on my granddaughters toy box I made. I liked the pressure sensor for it showed me that I was pushing to much instead of letting the sander and belt do the work. I would recommend this sander to anyone who is doing woodworking especially the novices. September 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Light and easy to handle. Works like a charm ,. Easy to hold and change the sandpaper. September 3, 2013
