Rated 5 out of 5 by Tough on grease! I have been using the 7th Gen multi-surface cleaner for about two years now and I have been very happy with it. This is my first experience with 7th Gen products, and am just now beginning to explore and consider more of their products. I first bought the product after having my first child, looking for a safe cleaner to keep around the house with a toddler, but had to be affordable, and I have never turned back. I use it on everything from kitchen counters, stove tops, changing tables, toddler potty, etc. I keep one bottle on the kitchen counter and another in the bathroom for potty chair cleanings. I find that it does a great job of cleaning grease from the stove and I feel confident that it removes bacteria from potty chairs and changing tables. With another baby on the way, I am now exploring their diapers, wipes and laundry products. May 14, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Works, but smells horrible It did eliminate odors in the area where I used it (the toilet and floor around it), but the spray mist made my throat swell up and it smelled awful. I might be able to live with the smell, but not sure what that the respiratory issue was all about. April 25, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Yuck It is the worst smell! The best way I can decribe the smell is tar, mothballs, citrus and mint mixed. Never again will I buy this! February 18, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by great product horrible bottle I hope the company makes a new bottle. This one aerosolizes the spray on one diffused setting, so that you inhale way more produce when you wipe it off than almost all others. I use all their other products, but cannot use this one. Only one spray setting diffused, fatal flaw. February 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The only disinfectant I use & recommend! I am appalled at the amount of negative reviews complaining about the scent of this product. This is a thymol based cleaner - do your research people! If you don't like the smell of thyme, don't buy this product. For those of us who are not turned off by the smell, it is an incredibly effective and VERY MUCH NATURAL disinfectant that absolutely does not contain bleach - but according to the EPA, it is an intermediate disinfectant just like bleach. This product does have a lingering smell but as long as you aren't over-spraying any rooms or are very sensitive to plant oils, you shouldn't have any problems with it, and will find that this is one of the healthiest and most environmentally friendly disinfectants on the market. I highly recommend for those of you who aren't likely to snub a product because you weren't aware that the active ingredient comes from thyme. January 15, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disinfecting Cleaner I was happy to find a disinfecting cleaner at the local market that didn't have harsh chemicals in it. The smell is so overpowering I have to rinse everything I've sprayed it on. The smell gives me a headache. Why can't there be a cleaner that does not have scents added? Won't be buying this product again. Plain old vinegar works just as well even though it stinks too it's better than 'Lemongrass Citrus'. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make this product without 'scents'. Rated 2 out of 5 by Smells Awful I bought this product hoping to start using cruelty free, natural products and while this item works well enough for cleaning it smells like pepper mixed with a hint of citrus which really isn't that appealing and the smell lingers for days. December 22, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Smell is disgusting - won't buy any more. This stuff smells like a mix of asphalt and turpentine, it lingers forever, and it doesn't kill those nasty little critters unless you leave the surface wet for 10 minutes. I'm telling my wife to get something that kills quicker and smells better. The house smells like a mortuary after using this stuff. December 6, 2014
