Compliance

We purchased these cabinets for storage of flammables and corrosives. We are now being told that these cabinets are not compliant due to the fact that corrosives and flammables are not separated. (i.e. The corrosive cabinet and the flammable cabinet are part of the same unit.)

Answer:
There are many storage requirements for chemicals and flammable materials. Always refer back to the MSDS and standards such as, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.106 and NFPA 30 Section 4-3.1. It is best to contact your local Fire Marshal with any storage requirement questions. You can also see Grainger Quick Tips 181 for other chemical storage information.
