Rated 5 out of 5 by I have a 5 car garage. I used this system 8 years ago on 3 of the bays and have NEVER had a problem with hot tire pick up or any issues with peeling etc. The only problem is if something blunt or sharp is dropped on the floor. If so, you may experience chipping etc. I recently applied this system to my other two bays which were never painted. I then followed up with the Professional Clear Coat. I do high end detailing in my shop and wanted a professional look along with the durability of a quality coating. I was very impressed with how long the original coating lasted and plan to repaint the 3 bays and coat with clear. I have found the key is in properly prepping the floor prior to applying the coating. July 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Really great product so far, it has been down for about a month and no tire pick up. I did also use the expoxy based clear coat from Rustoleum. Follow the directions and be sure to properly prepare the floor. Patches and blemishes will show through somewhat. FYI for spreading the paint flakes, put them in a spice shaker or similar shaker with large holes, this worked out great for me..... November 19, 2013

paint prep

I am painting a previously painted floor with this product. The original paint is a water based paint thats worn in areas from pallet jacks, traffic, etc. Not peeled. Will I need to prep before painting? also, this is in a produce packaging facility. Will the product conform to a food grade enviroment?

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following:

The surface will need to be scuff sanded with a 60 grit sand paper and washed down with mild soap and water or a degreaser, Wire brush any areas that are bare concrete. This product is ok for non incidental contact, but is not FDA approved.
