Rated 5 out of 5 by We needed somethng simple and dependable. Based on my experience with boating we purchased the Rule pump.It worked as expected and did not need any special fittings or connections. Basically it is a plug and play (run) item. Will purchase another when the next issue occurs. November 11, 2013

Answer:
This pump will automatically test its surroundings every 2 ½ minutes for water. If water is detected it will pump until the liquid level is reduced to approximately ½” depth. It is not designed to be left in a dry capacity for long periods of time as the absence of water will result in damage to the processing circuit.
