Rated 5 out of 5 by 1reviewer.
Rated 5 out of 5 by I used this model to freeze a 1 1/4 copper pipe with 140 degree water for an air handler. The flow was stopped in the coil and the saddles clamped to the pipe with the supplied gel. During the freezing process spray water on the pipe where it enters the saddles from the supplied spray bottle. It forms an icy net on the pipe when it is solid in the pipe. Drill a wee hole in the section to be replaced to make doubly sure flow is cutoff. It took about half an hour to freeze. Smaller pipes freeze faster. It remained solid during the 20 minutes needed to fit a new section of pipe and crimp repair couplers.I have always counted on Rigid tools in my case, and this tool is worthy of the name. It saved a lot of time, and allowed a repair without shutting down a major hotel and draining the system. March 26, 2014
