Rated 1 out of 5 by Doesn't hold 3/16" brake line Working on old brake line from a '04 Cavalier. Pipe measures .186".The first 5 or so test flares I did worked fine. Since then, the clamp won't hold the pipe - it just slips down when the press is applied.I am reluctant to make a blanket condemnation; all I can say for sure is, it doesn't work for me. YMMV. Rated 1 out of 5 by I purchased 15 of these for my students to learn flaring, but the 3/8th slot is undersized, it made the tubes oval and flared terribly. When I went to measure the bore of the 3/8th slot it measured at 0.365 where as it should have been 0.375. I returned all of them. January 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by I have this set. It works wonderfully. I would not make a flare with out doing a double flare. This makes the tubing thicker on the taper, and more likely to seal. I have had this set for over 15 years and I am still pleased with it May 7, 2013
