Details

Reliable, self-regulating, and designed for metal and plastic pipe freeze protection. You can also use it for gutter and roof deicing applications on porches and overhangs. Suitable for use in dry or wet locations. Cable comes preassembled with a 30-inch power cord and plug. Heating cable is not suitable for use in lengths longer than 100 ft. To help minimize the danger of fire if the heating cable is damaged or improperly installed, use a Ground-Fault-Protection Device (GFPD).

Hello. This particular item can not be trimmed to fit. You would have to use a product like the 2VEV6.

Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following.

The manufacturer list the heater diameter at .45"
(just about 29/64").
