There are several factors that would play into whether a bottle would be air tight. It would depend on what you're putting in the bottle and if it would eat away at the lining of the cap. And it would also depend on if the person screwing on the lid actually screwed it on tight. The best bet is to try one with whatever you're using and see if it work.
