Rated 4 out of 5 by I bought my first of this model about 4 years ago. It did great! Lasted well over 2 years of heavy use. Eventually, like all things these days, the mic arm finally came lose from inside the headset and it was time to get another headset. I was so happy with this headset that I was determined to get another. After some digging, I was able to find a duplicate. Unfortunately, it seems that Plantronics changed the quality of materials for some of the parts. Within 2 months of using my second 995 both of the adjustable-size speaker arms snapped. That was a year ago, and after some liberal use of duct tape, I am still using this headset and everything works great! (minus the adjustable-size speakers part of it) December 16, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Terrible Quality Bought this product expecting way too much. The good reviews made me think it might be a good thing to blow my money on but it wasn't. The quality of the sound was good and it was comfortable, I had to get a replacement within a month of buying it and then that replacement broke. I would plug it in to charge in the morning and come back in the afternoon giving it 8 hours of charge time and I got 40 mins top usage out of it before it died. December 1, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Last if you take care of them Have had my 995 for going on 5 years and they have not broke as I take good care of them and do not abuse the headset. Truly, the headset looks as good as the day I unpackaged the product. That is the plus; however, the battery does not last longer than 4 to 5 hours before needing a charge. I must plug in to charge every evening. All controls on the headset are easily accessible. Range is about 30 feet for both talk and transmit. Sound is good but I experience a good bit of clicking as the signal is lost, at times, at 15 feet especially after 3 hours of listening and/or talking. If you take care of your equipment, they will last a long time. If you plan on remaining relatively close to the dongle, you will probably enjoy the product. Do not expect a long range as output is restricted by the government both on the dongle and the headset. October 11, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good headset but breaks after a while I bought these in May 2013 and use only at home about 3 times a week. Picked them up yesterday and snap went the headpiece! Had heard of others having the same problem but didn't think it would happen...I had to use glue to put it back together as it is over 1 year. Anyway, beware. No reason for it to break... Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor quality from a premium brand Had these for 4 months, then they snapped in the expansion band on both sides in one day! Clearly a wear limit on these.I went with Plantronics as there telephony headsets are second to none, with build quality that lasts years. September 23, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by sounds good, but not so comfortable. Been using this for about a week now. I've done a handful of internet calls and spent most of the time listening to music. Overall the sound quality is pretty good although with a better fit the listening would be better. What's odd about the design is the ear pads don't have any horizontal rotation and so they press tightly on the front, but there's a gap on the back side between the ear pad and my head that's big enough to put my finger through. This causes three problems: 1. instead of the pressure of the ear pads being evenly distributed it's concentrated on the front part of the pad and so gets uncomfortable after wearing for a bit. 2: because the earpad doesn't create any kind of seal around your ears, the bass response is significantly lessened. And 3: the gap means sound comes both in and out; I got these for the office and I hear too much of my coworkers and they hear too much of the music coming from the headphone. September 12, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Breaks too easily When you extend the headphones to make them larger, there is only a very thin (and hollow) band of plastic. After about 6 months of very careful use, this band broke on one side. I was able to work around this by concealing the broken part within the sturdier outer casing and extending the other side more. Unfortunately after 2 more months, the other side broke too. For this price, I would expect a sturdier construction.Pros:- Comfortable (while it lasted)- Works out-of-the-box on Linux (Ubuntu 14.04)- Good sound quality for Skype/Google Voice- Flip-up microphone to mute is handyCons:- Breaks easily when extended- Poor range - for me about 6 feet even with no obstructions (40 foot range is a joke)- Can't use when charging- Power button takes a few seconds to respond - time is of the essence when a Skype call rings but your headphones are on the charger September 12, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by its ok... it is not much flexible, so its broke very fast, but the worst thing is that i cant load it while iam using it September 10, 2014

In my office we have standard touchtone phones and due to the noise level are looking for a sound reducing/eliminating headset (preferably wireless) that we can use for conference calls. If this product won't handle that, can you suggest another that can. I'm looking for something in the under $125 price range if that exists.

Thank you

1 Person needs an answerI have this question too

Grainger has contacted the product supplier and have been advised by them of the following: as long as you have a phone jack on the back of your phone to plug this into it will work.
