We are working on a site with impacted materials load out and are concerned about potential breakthrough of VOCs and Benzene. We all don full face respirators and have been quantitatively fit tested. Please advise on what levels we might see breakthrough using OV-P100 cartridges.

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and have been advised by them of the following:

The breakthrough time would depend on the manufacturer's recommendations. The link below connects to a document on our site that talks about cartridge changeout schedules. At the end of the document there are links to the manufacturer's sites. If you click on the link to North's site, it will take you to the cartridge life expectancy calculator on their site:

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and have been advised by them of the following:

We would need more information about the epoxy you are using before we could make a suggestion as to which cartridge is most appropriate for your application. The polyester resin would be covered by the P100 cartridge. You would need to check the MSDS of your resin to see what type of cartridge is suggested. Feel free to call into your local branch to get in touch with a Safety Specialist who can help you once you have the MSDS for the epoxy.
