Answer: 
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following regarding the Grainger part number 2YA39 CO detector. This CO detector operates for two years. No sensor or battery change needed. Yes, you would need to calibrate the monitor before each use to ensure everything is functioning properly.
