Rated 5 out of 5 by Great portability and use with one hand. Will do all the small jobs I ask for and especially overhead and tighter spots with no cord! August 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for residential electricians... I am a professional residential electrician of 20 years and a huge part of my job is cutting 1/2" EMT conduit much of the time. To say the least, this bandsaw has made my life a whole lot easier. Initially I was skeptical about the versatility, power, run-time and general quickness of the cuts, but a skeptic I am no longer. First off, the 12v XC battery is awesome. I can go all day long on a single charge. It takes about 3-4 seconds to cut through 1/2" emt conduit. Plenty fast. Best of all I can kiss that shoulder and elbow pain I get from my regular hand-hacksaw goodbye. Yes you can cut a bit faster with a band new blade on a regular hacksaw. But, after about a day, the blade dulls, slowing down the time it takes you to cut and is harder to cut in general. Plus throughout the day you simply aren't cutting as fast by hand due to the fatigue from doing it manually. If I absolutely had to complain about one thing about this saw it would be that it's just a tad bit heavy at being a smudge under 7 lbs. The only thing I can't comment on is blade life since I've only used it about a month now. Overall I think this product is a perfect for professional electricians. Thank you Milwaukee Tools! Rated 5 out of 5 by BEST TOOL I HAVE EVER OWNED!! I am an electrician in the residential field and when I am installing conduit I am constantly making cuts... I started out with the usual hacksaw and my shoulder was always sore so I started using the Klein EMT pipe cutter. The shoulder stopped hurting but then my wrist and hands were sore so when I seen a demo of this bad boy I HAD TO HAVE IT!! I mounted a double hook on my ladder for stability and convienence and the blade opening fits perfect around the back ladder leg. If your in any trade that your using a hacksaw or pipe cutter and tired of the cutting aspect of work I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS BAND SAW it rips right through 1/2 onduit and have been using the same blade for about two months now and could not be happier with my purchase. Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Bang For The Buck As an electrican for more than 28 years I have found another milwaukee tool that makes my job easier. The M12 family has some of the best, lightest tools going and this is no exception. The best is you can bring it up in the air on a ladder or lift and speed up the job even more. October 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by awsome i am a cctv / security / fire alarm tech . most recent job is approx 3/4's of a mile of conduit for cctv in a wide open parking lot . closest outlet is about 2000 feet away . with out the m12 band saw it would make my days hell . had it about a week and it works great . pretty much every m12 tool i own i ? how i got along with out it . if you are looking for a good little band saw and can deal with the limited cutting capacity then this is the one for you June 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by My new favorite tool. As a electrician the mojority of my work is on small pipe, 1 1/2" on down. This new saw makes short work cutting conduit, threaded rod and strut. With the one handed control of this saw it makes it easy to make staight cuts every time. June 20, 2012
