I'm measuring the temperature of the outside of a vessel to determine the level of the product inside of the vessel as it fills. If the gun works by design at 12 inches, is it accurate at 8 ft or so?

Per the suppliers website this unit has a 10:1 distance to spot ratio. Measures a one foot spot from 10 feet away. thank you for using Grainger.com Ask & Answer.

If this unit does not come with a Calibration Certificate please recommend a similar unit or Multimeter with thermocouple that is accurate up to 350 C. Must have Calibration Certificate.
