Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Performance I make an attachment that I fit to this tool that turns it into a high frequency muscle/body massage tool. I have found the Milwaukee unit to have the best speed control and that is an important part of how the machine works for my application. Out of the 40 plus units purchased so far I have had one machine need warranty work and 6 batteries that had broken tabs. The attachment creates a greater vibration to the operator and then the battery compared to other attachments. I now use a weight lifters wrist strap around the battery and have not had any further problem with broken battery tabs or the battery backing out. September 5, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Tool if used right. This is a precision tool. As an Electrician I use it to cut into cabinetry for electrical outlets and find it has greater control than a Roto-Zip. I have also used it to notch out a beam… which was not a good idea. Since it is a battery operated tool it has a short run time when used on a high or fast setting. Have extra batteries handy. So remember… "If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail. Use the right tool for the right job." February 28, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by I'm not impressed. I got this to remove vinyl flooring from my kitchen. It took an eternity due to the approximate 10 minutes of run time. Plus, the blade isn't long enough to reach under a kitchen cabinet all the way to the kick board. And under the floor heating fins, it wouldn't reach either. When I used it to cut the bottom .5" off of the door jambs, it smoked and burned the wood. It melted the rubber tubing that lines the door without even touching it. I like it for the sanding, but those little pieces of sand paper just don't last long enough to justify the cost. And having to buy these $20 saw blades from Bosch makes no sense. September 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fills the gap other power tools can't! This tool fills the gap a lot of other tools don't . (and I own ALOT of tools, it's an addiction, I'm seeking help, don't judge me). It helps finish up cabinet projects, trim work, grout/thinset work, installing doors and windows and too much to list. I have this tool with the m12 roto tool in the same pouch with one m12xc battery and it lasts for ever and with those two tools I can finish out any project on any part of a house. The biggest secret to this tool is DON'T USE FULL THROTTLE ALL THE TIME the battery will last more then double (other users complain about battery life) its kinda like flooring the gas peddle on your car while driving through a mall parking lot at Christmas time. Once you go above 60-70% throttle the machine doesn't cut any faster and you dump power out of the battery. Whenever another contractor scratches his head on some "I can't cut/saw/shave/plunge" this little whatever I break out this tool and show them how to do it. And when I say you're welcome they say I always wondered how people did stuff like that (my ego beams some) September 14, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs work Purchased this product to replace a similar model from a certain blue manufacturer after that one died. While the power and performance was superior to the other brand there was a major problem. The battery wouldn't stay locked in. It would go for a minute or two and then it would shut off because the battery had slipped out a bit. Would have to jamb it back in and it would work fine. Bought it for my crew to use on a large exterior trim job and the slipping battery was such a problem that I ended up going and buying a corded version. Overall I have had excellent luck with all Milwaukee tools and was rather surprised at the design flaw. Looking at the tool you can tell they tried to address the vibration because the battery cavity had rubber inside to dampen the vibration of the battery pack. Just didn't seem to do enough. I use Milwaukee, as well as the dark blue and yellow brands on my jobsites. All my impacts are red and that should tell you how much I trust the brand, as its the tool my crew and I grab the most. I hope they can address this issue and make this a viable tool. June 28, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Tool constantly stops When this tool works, it's great, but the problem is that it won't keep working. Acts like the battery is dead, but has a fresh charge on it. I have to keep unplugging the battery and plug it back in. About to throw it away as it has been a total waste of time. Milwaukee, you can do better than this. May 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Why? I am not sure why a tool manufacturer would make a product and not make readily available the blades to go along with it ? So Milwaukee is putting there reputation for there multitool on another manufactureres blades ? If I buy cheap blades then does this make it a cheap tool or if I buy good blades does this make it a good tool. I liked the blade that came with it so know how do I get more ? March 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it. I have owned this tool for about a year now, and I find a use for it in just about every project I do. Another truly great Milwaukee tool that compliments other Milwaukee tools I have. February 22, 2012
