following: Grainger part number 4BB23 is the proper tool to install rivet nuts. The thickness specification is determined by the rivet nut choice. For example, if the material was a piece of 18 gauge sheet metal; the rivet nut should have a grip range to allow for that. Grainger offers a large selection of rivet nuts, in many sizes. Please keep in mind that this thread set tool can install rivet nuts from a number 10-24/10-32, ¼-20”, 5/16-18” and 3/8-16” inch. There are also mandrels and nosepiece sets for metric sizes, 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm as well.
