LPS 1

I'm looking for a light dielectric spray that can be used to protect connector pins from corrosion on commercial vehicles. Is this an appropriate product? The rating sheet does not list a dielectric strength, which would be very helpful. Thank you! Jon

Answer:
Dielectric strength implies the strength of a material to prevent electrical flow altogether. You really should look at a contact grease for your application. Our item number 19LY84.

LPS 1 for post-tension foundation cables?

I'm a little confused and want to make sure I am purchasing the correct product. We had a company come install a couple of root barriers in our yard, and the owner also took a look at our foundation and offered some suggestions. One thing he noticed was that some of the post-tension cable ends are exposed and have some rust. He told my husband that we need to use a wire brush to scrape off the rust, then spray on some LPS #1 and cover it with low-shrink grout. But after reading the description here, LPS #1 is a lubricant. Does it make sense that it would be used to protect the cable ends from rust? I'm wondering if the guy actually meant LPS #3. From what I'm reading on here, #3 is a rust inhibitor, which makes much more sense to me. But neither my husband nor I are handy people, so I want to make sure I understand correctly. I've tried getting in touch with the guy again, but haven't heard back, and my hubby wants to get this done this weekend. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
